Insightful Thought Of The Moment
An introduction
Hello, fellow bloggers. I decided to create this blog because I realised I had a lot to say on various topics which didn't quite fit into my Take On Life blog (which tends towards belligerance, controversy and bluntness) which I wanted to share anyway. Here, you can find my insightful, philosophical and sometimes downright bizarre musings on any topic which happens to pique my interest at whatever time I feel like writing.
If, however, you enjoy reading belligerent, controversial and blunt posts on topics in which there is a high potential for disagreement, debate, fighting, flamewars et cetera, you'd probably be better off reading my Take On Life blog. Either way, you'll probably find something to interest you. :)

Thought #4 - a word of advice.
It being almost the time of year when my family take our annual skiing holiday, I've recently been reminiscing on skiing holidays past. Of course, last year we went to a rather remote village in the Italian Alps. Even if you don't mind the risk that you may run into a teacher from your school there, as I happened to, do NOT spend New Years' Eve there is you value your life. You seriously don't want to risk your life by just being in a village full of Italians with fireworks. Go to Austria instead, they have nice, sensible displays on the opposite mountain which you can watch from your balcony. Standing in a square full of toddlers brandishing lit rockets and boxes of flaming gunpowder blowing around is just too dangerous. It is certainly fun, but don't say I didn't warn you about the risk.

Thought #3
If you try to differentiate a polynomial and you end up with an imaginary number, something's gone seriously wrong.
Thought #2
I was reading Proverbs in my Bible the other week, and I came across a really good passage I thought I'd share. It's the Message version, which is why it is rather informal in tone.
"A prudent person sees trouble coming and ducks; a simpleton walks in blindly and is clobbered." - Proverbs 27:12
It made me laugh! Actually, pretty much the whole of Proverbs is a bit tongue-in-cheek, and there are some pretty good pearls of wisdom in there. I might have to find some more to share with you. :)

Thought #1
Isn't it funny how whenever Facebook updates its layout, people complain about it? If you think about it, they're complaining because they will no longer have a layout that they complained about when it was introduced in the first place. I must conclude that what people object to is not the layout itself, but it's merely a demonstration of inflexibility and resistance to change. There's some interesting psychology there. :)
